Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)
Rheumatoid arthritis is an ‘auto-immune’ condition. This is where the body’s defence system becomes overactive and causes swelling (inflammation) of the joints. Other symptoms include joint pain, joint stiffness, and fatigue.
The inflammation can affect other areas of the body including the heart.
